WebThe Ultra-Classic doesn't have a backplate if I recall. and the Classic does though it's much thinner than a true Model M;s. Sorry but this isn't completely true. While IBM/Lenovo did licence Unicomp to make buckling spring keyboards, and the design is heavily based on the Model M they are by no means identical.
