Since it's only one set item, you won't be able to bypass difficulty requirements for the set items to complete a set. People have to find the warband chest item then put the item into the warband chest for everyone to access.

I don't believe that though considering some story mode spawns were modified way after some people already beat the game on Green Hell difficulty.
