Grain growth in thin films
WebCZTS films synthesized on SLG were found to have significantly larger grains than films grown on the other substrates. Furthermore, we show that by including a bare additional piece of SLG in the sulfidation ampoule, the grain size of films grown on nominally impurity-free quartz increases from 100's of nm to greater than 1 μm. WebApr 13, 2024 · Clarifying the austenite grain growth law in the thin slab casting and rolling (TSCR) process can provide theoretical guidance for the control of austenite grain in the slab. Starting with the austenite nucleation during solidification process, the growth law of austenite grains was methodically studied throughout the TSCR continuous casting ...

Web2 days ago · Thin-Film Encapsulation (TFE) Market Growth. The energy and power industry has been experiencing growth in recent years, driven by several factors such as increasing global demand for energy ... WebDec 13, 2000 · When the initial grain size is below a critical value, grain growth can occur by normal boundary migration and generates a tensile stress in the plane of the film. Grain growth proceeds until a particular grain size is reached, at which the sum of the strain energy and surface energy is minimized.

WebGrain growth in thin films is usually abnormal, leading not only to an increase in the average grain size, but also to an evolution in the shape of the grain size distribution and to an evolution in the distribution of grain orientations. The latter can be driven by surface, interface or strain energy minimization, depending on film and ... WebJul 1, 2005 · The primary factor to increase the grain sizes was also found to be intrinsic and/or extrinsic strain (or stress) introduced into the films. The present paper addresses the driving force of the...
