Fixing a shop vac on/off switch
WebJun 28, 2024 · I have a 3 year old Craftsman 125.12007 Shop Vac and the electrical switch has gone out. I called and Sears offers no replacement part - however I can buy a complete new head for $180!!! ----- A whole new vac would be about $100. I'd prefer to try to find a 4-pole switch that would work. Even if it didn't fit the original hole. WebRocker switch would not work 1. Remove motor housing cover [6 screws] to access inner cover 2. Remove [4 screws] to access switch 3. Unplug black and red wire from switch and push switch out of top cover 4. Install new toggle switch and connect wires 5. Replace covers in reverse order [rotating housing cover until it sets correctly] 6. Done
