WebThe Essential Pepin is more than essential Jacques Pepin is one of the great chefs of the world. This book, based on his TV series, with 700 recipes is not as detailed as Julia Child's "Mastering the Art of French Cooking", but the recipes have sufficient details to make a successful dish. WebSo there's two sets: La Technique (1976) & La Methode (1979); or, The Art of Cooking, Vol 1 (1987) & The Art of Cooking, Vol 2 (1988). Then there the old, 2001, Complete Techniques and the new, 2012, "New" Complete Techniques. And I'm sure there's more. In this, Pepin says in an offhanded sort of way that "The Art of Cooking" series is the best.
